Introduction

This project titled “TEACH WITHIN: An Anthology of Teaching Philosophies" has been designed as a specialised e-portfolio consisting of a blog section publishing educational philosophies. It is a spontaneous production of an educator’s understanding of her professional learning and responsibilities. The educator has been learning passionately to improve teaching through integrating technology and implementing constructivism. Thus, the site is not merely a website. Instead, it turns out to be an educational blog exhibiting the author's ideologies and teaching philosophies formed through life-long learning to ensure equity and equality in a classroom. Besides that, I believe sharing my new knowledge and research with my colleagues and students will fulfil the commitment I made to my community.

The website explores some Holistic Ideologies dividing them into the following groups :

    Personality

“As a general rule, teachers teach much by what they are than what they say”.

 Policy

“Education is not to reform the students or amuse them or to make them expert technicians; it is to unsettle their minds, widen their horizons, inflame their intellects, teach them to think straight, if possible”.  – Robert M. Hutchins

Practices

“The test of a good teacher is not how many questions he can ask his pupils that they will answer readily, but how many questions they inspire them to ask him which he finds it hard to answer.” - Alice Wellington Rollins
